Salvatore Carito

January 1, 1951 – December 18, 2024

Salvatore Carito passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side. Born in Calabria, Italy, he was predeceased by his parents Francesco Carito and Elizabeth Carito (née Mercrurio). Salvatore was the cherished husband of Cynthia Stuckless-Carito and devoted father to Jamie Stuckless, Albert Carito, David Carito, Michael Carito, Sammy Carito (Heidi), Sandra Poirier (Shadi), and Vanessa Mouriopoulos.

Loving grandfather to Layla, Zara, Nevaeh, Noah, Anastazia, Tyler, and Taigon. Salvatore will be missed by his siblings Mary (Vince), Vincenzina (Savino), and Antonietta (Georgio). He was predeceased by his siblings Angela (survived by Nick), Joe (the late Antoinetta), and Giovanni (the late Ninna). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In keeping with Salvatore’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeland Funeral and Cremation Centre (19 Moose Road, Lindsay, Ontario) on December 28, 2024, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, with formal speeches starting at 2:00 PM.

Donations in memory of Salvatore can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online.
