The Spence family will host a Memorial Visitation at Ostrander’s Funeral Home on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel.

Elaine Vanwynsberghe

November 14, 1946 – January 21, 2025

Elaine Vanwynsberghe, a devoted wife and mother, passed away on January 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. Known for her love of family gatherings and sports, Elaine will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on January 27, 2025, at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, with a funeral mass the following day at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tillsonburg.

Danny Kelly

July 11, 1949 – January 9, 2025

Danny Stuart Kelly passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, at Victoria Hospital, London, at the age of 75. A kind and loving soul, Danny will be remembered for his warm heart and joyful spirit.

Marie Katarina Horvath

November 23, 1934 – December 4, 2024

Peacefully with her family by her side, in her 91st year, Marie Katarina Horvath (née Hoelzli) of Tillsonburg passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Tony Horvath (2005) for 58 wonderful years.

Marie will be forever loved and missed by her daughters Rose Horvath and Dianne (Rick) Trottier, her adored grandchildren Brianne (Brent) Guralski, Brittany (Mike) Hall, Kristen (Alex) Dawson, and Ryan Trottier (Melissa Bennett), and her great-grandchildren Joey, Stella, Mason, and Gemma. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Linda Horvath (1957), her parents John and Theresa Hoelzli, and several siblings and in-laws. She is survived by her dear sister Anne Vengli and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Born in Hamroth, Hungary, Marie lived through World War II before immigrating to Canada in 1951. She eventually settled in Tillsonburg and opened Marie’s Beauty Shop, where she worked for over 50 years. A proud member of St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s League for 59 years, Marie was known for her strong faith, community spirit, and love for her family.

Visitation will be held at Ostrander Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, on Monday, December 9th, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with Catholic Women’s League Prayers at 3:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 51 Venison St. W., Tillsonburg. A private family interment will follow at the Tillsonburg Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Marie’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice, either at the funeral home or directly online.
