Susan Noble Williams

1962 – 2025

Susan Noble Williams passed away suddenly on January 7, 2025, at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre. A dedicated educator and advocate for the Arts, Susan touched countless lives with her compassion and boundless energy.

David Murdo Macleod

1960 – 2024

David Murdo Macleod passed away peacefully at Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital surrounded by family on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the age of 64. David is survived by his daughter Kalene (Graham), his son Caleb, and his cherished grandchildren Nolan and Wyatt.

Loved and adored by his siblings, Carol (Dave) Tinkess, Sharon (Richard) Gaudet, Debbie (Garey) Gordon, and Doug (Dana) Genno. Predeceased by his mother Laura, his father Ken, and his sisters Linda (Eugene) and Donna (late Ken). David will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and his extended family and friends.

A special thank-you to the nurses, support staff, and doctors at the Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital for their exceptional care during this time.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life, along with a private family interment, will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Liver Foundation in David's memory.

Marcia MacCrimmon

1950 – 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our much-loved sister and aunt, Marcia, on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Trillium Long Term Care in Kingston. Marcia is now resting pain-free and has reunited with her soulmate, Jim Blair.

Marcia will be greatly missed and is survived by her brother Stuart, sister-in-law Pam, and much-loved nephew Bruce. She is also remembered by her brother David (Lise), sister Judy Kiar (Fred), sister-in-law Gloria, and many nieces and nephews. Marcia was predeceased by her mother Freda, her aunt Phyllis Myers, and brothers Michael and Greg.

Marcia loved playing bingo, shopping, and, most importantly, visiting with friends in their retirement homes. She had a passion for knitting, creating blankets that were distributed to the homeless for warmth. Despite her limitations, Marcia never stopped caring for others. She will be deeply missed by many friends.

Fly high with the angels, Marcia! The family would like to thank all the agencies that provided home care to Marcia over the years and the staff and residents at Trillium Long Term Care Home for their care and support in recent months.

As per Marcia’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private family interment will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Kingston Humane Society would be appreciated.

Betty Rogers (Shane)

1930 – 2024

Peacefully, at the Rideaucrest Home in Kingston, on Thursday, December 12, 2024, Betty Rogers (nee Shane) passed away at the age of 94. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Roy C. Rogers, and her brothers, Jack and Clayton Shane. Betty will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, warmth, and dedication to her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Myron (Carla), and her daughters, Heather (Doug) and Deborah. Cherished sister of Margaret Dundon and Alice (Cal) Rohne, and dear sister-in-law to Betty Shane and Mary (Ron) Hough. Betty was a devoted grandmother to Brooke (Paul), Ryan (Stephanie), Alex (Erica), Jordan (Jenna), and Mitchell (Alysha), and a proud great-grandmother to Evan, Caleb, Rory, Reid, Kace, Isla, Ellie, and Charlotte. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends, including Shirley Edmunds and Oliver Bauer.

Betty’s family will gather for a private service at a future date, with interment to follow at Wilton Cemetery.

In celebration of Betty’s decades of love, devotion, and service to her family, friends, and community, her family requests that donations be made to the UHKF (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) or the Ontario Humane Society in lieu of flowers.

Leo Godfrey

1940 - November 3, 2024

Leo Godfrey passed away peacefully at Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital on Sunday, November 3, 2024, in his 85th year. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Sharon (née Sagriff), his children April (Ed), Tony, and Janet (Jim), and his cherished grandchildren Andre, Wyatt, Lyle, Bradley, Amanda, Kyle, Caleb, and Zoye.

Survived by his sister Marilyn Rooney, Leo is remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ashley and Mary Godfrey, as well as by fifteen brothers and sisters. Leo’s outgoing and jovial personality brought joy to those around him, and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, especially for the years before his dementia diagnosis.

Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held at Wilton Cemetery on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to Wilton Cemetery would be greatly appreciated.

Joshua Gordon Jones

1977 - November 20, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua Gordon Jones, who passed away courageously at Providence Care Hospital on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the age of 47. A devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, Josh's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Josh is predeceased by his loving parents, Gordon and Malanie Jones. He is survived by his beloved wife Sara and their son Tanyon, who were the center of his world. Josh will be deeply missed by his sister Amanda, her husband Jeremy Rintjema, and their children Riley, Jai, Raiden, and Jair. He also leaves behind his cousin Kim, her husband John, and their boys Jacob, Ben, Andrew, and Blake. Josh was a loved son-in-law to Karen and Sandy Pincott and a best friend to so many, especially Bugsy and Hoagie.

The family invites friends to celebrate Josh’s life at Payne Funeral Home in Odessa on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Words of remembrance will be shared at 2:30 p.m. To honour Josh’s love for sports, attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite sports jerseys.

Josh’s warmth, humour, and love for life and family will forever remain in our hearts. He will be remembered as a caring father, a devoted partner, and a loyal friend who touched countless lives with his kindness and spirit.
