Paul Leclair

November 12, 1932 - November 28, 2024

Paul’s family lovingly reflects on his full and adventurous life as they share the news of his passing. Born in Blind River, Ontario, Paul was a testament to kindness, family devotion, and a love for adventure.

Paul was a co-founder of the Espanola Ski Hill and Ski Patrol, a coach for the Nancy Green Ski League, and a passionate ski instructor. He shared countless cherished memories of days spent skiing and skating with his beloved wife, Shirley Emma (née Beaudoin), and their caring family. Paul was predeceased by his infant son, Timothy, in 1964, but his love for his children, grandchildren, and extended family was unwavering.

Professionally, Paul worked for Espanola K.V.P., E.B. Eddy, and later at the University of Ottawa as Chief of the Mechanical Division after earning his First Class Power Engineer certification. A devoted Knight of Columbus, he co-founded the St. Maximilian Kolbe Fraternity in Arnprior, leaving a legacy of faith and service.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 7 to 9 p.m., and again on Wednesday, December 4, from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m., at Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Chrysostom Church, with interment at Malloch Road Cemetery. A reception at Pilon’s will follow.

In memory of Paul, donations to the St. John Chrysostom Church Memorial Fund or the St. Maximilian Kolbe Fraternity are appreciated. Online condolences may be shared through the Pilon Family Funeral Home website.
