It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald C. Irving in his 84th year, at Granite Ridge Care Community in Stittsville, Ontario, on March 24, 2025. He was the loving husband to Valerie and a devoted father to Michelle (Philip Devonald) and Chris (Michelle Melvin). He was a beloved grandfather to Bailey and Emma. He was also a friend and brother-in-law to Leslie Jones.
Ron was predeceased by his loving parents, May and George, and his brother, Stephen.
Born in Manchester, England, Ron met Valerie, and they married in 1967. He had a successful career managing numerous retail stores (both in England and Canada), where he was loved and respected by all. Ron was known for his optimism, positivity, fun nature, and immense love for his family. He made everyone laugh and smile and was someone his family could always depend on. He will be missed and cherished in their hearts forever.
The family wishes to thank all his caregivers and the staff at Granite Ridge Care Community (both in Garden and Orchard Houses) for their love and support during his time there.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

David Frederick Turnbull, age 76, passed away at his home in Kars, Ontario. He proudly served 25 years with the RCMP/CSIS and was an instructor at the William Stevenson Academy.
He is survived by his son Michael, his grandchildren Jack and Alice, and his siblings.

Donald Brian Cameron, aged 88, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by many.

Lorraine Newson (née Cameron) passed away peacefully at Starwood Long Term Care Home on January 6, 2025, at the age of 91. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard J. Newson, she is lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Visitation and funeral service will take place at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Ottawa, on January 11, 2025, followed by burial at Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family is deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Nadia Kassyousef, surrounded by her loved ones, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the age of 83. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 32 years, Joseph Kassyousef.
Nadia Kassyousef was the loving mother to Fayez (Dounia), Mary-Rose Yared (the late Nassif), Fayza, Elie (Isabelle), and George (Molly).
Devoted grandmother to 14 grandchildren, and great-grandmother to 9 great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her brother Joseph and sisters Janet, Josephine, Ugenee, Georgette, Feriyal, and Amal. Predeceased by her parents Toros and Marine, her late brother Joudat, and sister Alice. Nadia will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
After moving to Ottawa, Canada, in 1984 with her two children, Elie and George, Nadia worked as a seamstress. She found joy in cooking, gardening, and cherishing moments with her children and grandchildren.
Nadia will be remembered for her deep love for her family, her incredible cooking, and the warmth she brought to family gatherings.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Tubman Funeral Homes – Westboro Chapel, 403 Richmond Road, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 750 Ridgewood Avenue, at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.

Passed away suddenly in her home on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, 5 days short of her 75th birthday and 6 days short of her 44th wedding anniversary. Beloved wife of the late Frank Kewley (July 2024). Dear mother of Emma (Daryl McKinnon) and loved grandmother of Mack, Ty, and Ada. Dear sister to Judy (Michael), Jamie (Cathy); aunt to Jillian (Jean-Luc), Christopher (Ana Liza), Jason, Lindsay (Rene), and Craig. Great aunt to Ana, Michaela, and Alex.
She leaves behind family in the U.K., many dear friends from Kars Presbyterian Church, retired nursing friends, neighbors, and the walking/bowling/book club girls. She will always be fondly remembered for her sense of adventure and travel. She enjoyed many trips in her youth as well as world travels with her husband Frank, and family vacations. Her love for family, dogs, her kindness, generosity, and infectious laugh will never be forgotten.
Janet will always remain fondly in our hearts. Family and Friends may attend visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Sunday December 22nd from 2-4 pm. Funeral will be held in the chapel on Monday December 23rd at 11 am, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Kars.

It is with deep sadness that we announce Alastair Oram passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2024.
Alastair was a devoted husband to Nancy Oram and proud father of Alan (Melanie). Born in Scotland, Alastair immigrated to Canada in 1960 with his new wife Nancy. He chose Ottawa to call home and begin his new family. Alastair had a long and distinguished career with General Dynamics. Apart from his work, his passions included fishing, gardening, bird watching, and stamp collecting.
Alastair will be lovingly remembered for his sharp mind, humour, and devotion to his family and friends.
In keeping with Alastair’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private service for immediate family only has been held.
