Peacefully, on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Hillsdale Estate in Oshawa, at the age of 101 (just 14 days shy of her 102nd birthday). Ruth (nee Bray) of Oshawa was a loving mother to Beverley Gordon (Charlie) of Oshawa, Dianne (Robert Gatchell) of Blackstock, Bayne Gimblett (Vickie) of Bowmanville, Gary Gimblett (Karyn) of Janetville, Grant Gimblett (Colleen) of Little Britain, and the late Don Gimblett.
She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-granddaughter.
Ruth rested at the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street, Port Perry (905-985-2171). A Private Graveside Service will be held in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery, 45 Jeffrey Street, Prince Albert, Ontario.

Kay Leonard (nee Collins) passed away peacefully at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the age of 94. She was the beloved wife of Basil Joseph Leonard, who passed away in September 2023. Together, they shared 72 years of marriage and a remarkable 77 years of companionship.
Kay was a proud mother of four children: Mike (Catherine) Leonard, Patty (Paul) Milinkovich, Kathy (Scott) Siersma, and Brenda (Kent) Guest. She was a devoted grandmother to Jason (Venita) Leonard, Ashley Leonard (Brody), Miranda (Adam) Mantle, Paul Jr. Milinkovich (Cecilia), Tyler (Mallory) Siersma, Ryan (Linnea) Siersma, Brayden (Mel) Siersma, and MacKenzie (Gordie) Sherk. She also cherished her role as a great-grandmother to John Siersma, Sam Siersma, Sofia Leonard, Valmay Wight, Maverick Mantle, and Elsie Kathleen Siersma.
Kay was born in Brechin, Ontario, and met Basil as a teenager at a dance. Their enduring love story spanned decades. In 1951, they settled in Oshawa, where Kay worked at McLaughlin Coal Company before dedicating her life to raising her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always tending to the needs of her children and grandchildren with care and love.
Kay had a passion for puzzles, knitting, bingo, and golf. She and Basil enjoyed many happy years together in Oshawa and later in Sonya, where they lived on five acres before retiring to a condo in Oshawa. Basil’s passing in 2023 marked the loss of the love of her life, and their devotion to one another was truly inspiring.

It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Tumanowski announce her peaceful passing at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario, on Friday, December 6, 2024.
Anna was born on April 17, 1933, in Kozłów, Woj. Tarnopol, Poland, to Wojciech and Paulina Guśkiewicz. The youngest of nine siblings, Anna immigrated to Sudbury, Ontario, in 1959. Shortly after, in 1960, she married Jan “John” Tumanowski. Anna was a devoted member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and an active member of the S.P.K. Ladies Auxiliary, earning an honorary membership to the Polish Combatants Association (S.P.K.), Branch 24, Sudbury, in 2022. She also volunteered extensively for the Sudbury Polish Scouting Association.
Anna treasured her family above all else and found immense joy in bringing them together to enjoy her wonderful Polish cooking and baking. She was an avid reader, gardener, and a kind-hearted, generous person known for her colorful personality and quick wit.
Loving mother to Henry Tumanowski and Krystyna Rogers (Michael). Cherished grandmother (Babcia) to Lauren (Adam) and Stephanie (Travis). She was also a dear aunt to several nieces and nephews residing in Poland and New York. Anna is predeceased by her beloved husband, Jan (1985), her parents, two brothers, six sisters, and her lifelong friend, Gloria Skowronski.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Stephen Michael Gallienne at home on December 3, 2024, at the age of 65. Stephen was a deeply loving and devoted father to Lydia and Elyse, whose achievements and character brought him immeasurable joy. He was a loving and understanding husband to Jennifer for nearly 40 years.
Stephen was the youngest brother of Bill (Mary Lynn), Tom (Joanna), the late Anne (Jerry), Pat (the late Bill), Cathy (Karl), and Laura (Michael). His journey through life was marked by incredible resilience and courage. He battled cancer twice, triumphing each time with an unshakable will to live and inspiring strength. Sadly, Stephen succumbed to complications from appendicitis.
His family takes solace in knowing his memory will continue to live on through them and all who knew him. Stephen’s legacy of love, patience, kindness, and hospitality will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Judy Lee (née Keeler) passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry, Ontario, at the age of 77.
Judy was the beloved wife of Larry Lee, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. She was a devoted mother to Steven Lee (Ruth Robinson) of Kendal and Shari Lee of Uxbridge. Judy was a cherished grandmother to Lisa (Mitchell) and Brett, and she will be deeply missed by her extended family and many friends.
