It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of our mom Catherine “Cathie” Barbara Rose (nee Garrison) on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, with family at her side in Lindsay, Ontario. Dear step-daughter of Clem Hewitt. Cherished mother of Joseph (Carrie), Sarah (Alvin) and Ryan (Paul). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Ethan, Leah and Avril and her great-grandchild Claira-Jane. Cathie will be missed by her brothers, sisters and her many friends. Predeceased by her parents Peter Garrison and Elaine Hewitt. She’s finally home and smiling again with the love of her life David Rose. The life of the party, Cathie was known for her infectious laugh, home cooked meals and her love for her cats. Our most sincere thanks to Mike and Lorna for their ongoing love and support to mom over the years.  We would also like to thank the paramedics and the Ross Memorial Hospital emergency department and palliative care team for their kind, comforting, and compassionate care during this difficult time.

The family of Catherine Rose will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Saturday, March 21st from 11 – 1 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the SickKids Foundation. Memories, photos and condolences may be left at www.waggfuneralhome.com
