Gaetane Lacoursière

May 11, 1940 - December 8, 2024

Passed away peacefully at the John M. Parrot Centre on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the age of 84. Predeceased by her loving husband Gerry.
She will be missed by her children Lizette (Sahaj), Robert (Lyra), Catherine (Tim), Dean (Molly), and Ann Marie (Melanie).
Cherished grandmother to Sabine, Gisèle, Jean Paul, Danielle, Blake, Lauren, Cailie, Rowan, and great-grandmother to Quinn, Connor, Kennedy, Sidney, and Alex.
Predeceased by sister Doreen (late Derek) and parents Ubald and Antoinette.

Our Mom was a teacher, a mother of 5 children (and at times to many more), a scratch bowler, and a later-in-life golfer who shot 3 holes in one!
She was a private detective, obtained her pilot’s license at the age of 50, was a real estate agent, and ran her own company. She loved her church,
her community, and most of all her family. She traveled the world with the love of her life, Gerry, by her side, and lived life to the fullest!
While she indulged us in raising horses, rabbits, dogs, and cats, she could, and did, host the best parties. She was a mentor to so many people,
in many different ways. She truly was an amazing woman, and we were lucky to call her “Mom.” She will be missed!

Though she may no longer walk among us, she remains in our hearts—a reminder to cherish our relationships, embrace our passions, and savour every moment.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring, May 10th, 2025, at Heavenly Rest Family of Catholic Cemeteries.
Donations in memory of Gaetane can be made to your local food bank or the charity of your choice.
