Joan (Joanne) Collins, born on June 11th, 1963, passed away on August 9th, 2025, at the age of 62. Joanne was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend whose selflessness, humor, and big heart will be deeply missed.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Brian, stepson Ryan (Maddy), and her children Liam, Connor and Deirdre.
Joanne is also survived by her siblings Brian, Cathy (Barry), Christine (Brian), John (Gail), Kevin (Terry), Theresa, Rosie (Rob), and Paul (Ellen); her father-in-law Alfred, sister-in-law Anne, brother-in-law Paul (Carol) and Jim (Sue).
Joanne was and continues to be a cherished aunt and great aunt to a large group of nieces and nephews, all of whom treasured her loyalty, humor, kindness, and her theatrical storytelling.
Joanne was predeceased by her parents Gerald Collins and Rose Manley, mother-in-law Dorthy Scale, sister Eileen (late Dougie), brother Gerry (Lynn), and her nephews Dennis and Dakota.
Joanne lived a life full of laughter, love, and unwavering dedication to her family, friends and community. Whether she was in Montreal North, Etobicoke, Brampton or Kingston, she would be there for you in a drop of a hat. Joan will be remembered for her kind heart, brutal honesty and the bright light she’d transfer to everyone lucky enough to know her.
A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 631 Collins Bay, 4043 Bath Rd., Kingston, ON K7M 4Y4, on August 22nd, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
