Stephen Lai Wong Lim
April 15, 1931 – November 26, 2024
Stephen Lai Wong Lim passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 15, 1931, in Kudat, Malaysia, Stephen lived in Jamaica for many years before immigrating to Canada in 1973. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life well-lived.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Violet in 2023, Stephen is survived by his children Suzanne (Harry Koo), Sandra (the late Nathan “Lenny” Hugh-Yeun d. 2011), Patrick d. 2023, Gary, and Sean. Loving grandpa to Michael, Brandon, Ryan (Anqi Xu), Kiara (Bryan Franco), and Zachary. Cherished great-grandfather to Nathan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, Ontario, L3R 5G1. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the same location. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, Ontario, L3T 2C7 (please use the Langstaff entrance).
