It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Errol Munt on September 28th, after a brave battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He left this world peacefully, surrounded by love.

Tom is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Beverley Munt. He was a cherished father to his children, Steve Munt and Suzy (Richard) Meadows, and a beloved poppa to his seven grandchildren: Jessica, Laura, Steph, Madison, Noah, Kassandra, and Carlyn and two great grandchildren Brooklynn and Isabelle . Each of them held a special place in his heart.

Known for his infectious smile and warm laughter, Tom had a remarkable ability to light up any room he entered. His genuine care for others touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Tom spent countless hours at the Whitby Curling Club, either on the ice or cheering passionately from behind the glass for his teammates and family.

A dedicated employee of CP Rail, Tom took great pride in training and mentoring many staff members, leaving a lasting impact on those who followed in his footsteps.

Tom Munt was truly one of a kind, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness and joy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
