NIEWERTH, Christine Ethel (nee POWELL) – It is with great sadness that the family of Christine announces her passing on June 17, 2024 in her 77th year, at Dufferin Place long-term care home in Nanaimo, BC.
Christine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hans Niewerth, with whom she shared many wonderful years of love and companionship.
She is survived by her siblings: Barbara, Deborah, Philip, and Cynthia, and their families; as well as her step-children: Michael, Christiane, and Anke, and their families.
Christine will be lovingly remembered and missed by many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, good friends, and family members.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her honor in Fort McMurray, AB.
The interment of Christine’s ashes in Toronto, ON will be announced at a later date.
