AKINS, Bradley George Akins

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Bradley George Akins, Tuesday February 17, 2026. A proud father, sports lover and doting Umpa (grandfather). Brad loved his family, hockey, baseball and biking. Loving and loyal husband to Gail for almost 35 years, his adoring sons Connor and Jayden and their partners Madison and Claire. Loving Umpa to Sadie and Penelope who he treasured and loved adoringly. Brad was a proud son to the late George and Donna Akins and step son to Gloria Akins. Fondly adored sister to Tanya, loyal brother to the late Gregory and devoted grandson to the late Harry/Sadie Akins and Joe/Doris Little.

Brad cherished the time with family, cousins, aunts and uncles and his nephews and nieces. Brad was a loyal and proud employee for 39 years with Canada Building materials. We hold him in our hearts forever and always.

We welcome friends and family to join us on Sunday March 1, 2026 at Market Brewing in Newmarket from 12 noon to 3 pm to spend time together, have a drink and share stories and laughter of our love for Brad. We kindly ask that you wear purple (if you have it) to commemorate Brad’s favourite colour and donations can be made to RVH Foundation – Cancer Care Centre
