ANDERSON, Ameya Joy Anderson
April 4, 2024 - April 7, 2026
She
passed away unexpectedly at McMaster Childrenβs Hospital surrounded by her family, on April 7, 2026, at the tender age of two. We look forward to the day when we will meet her again, fully healed and whole in the presence of Jesus
Ameya Joy Anderson was born on April 4, 2024 at McMaster Childrenβs Hospital. She was welcomed by her parents Luke and Bethany, and her three older siblings Corbin, Isla, and Walter, along with her grandparents Christina and Trevor Albrecht, JoAnne and Steve Anderson, and Dan and Cheryl Anderson.
She was captivating with a head full of striking blonde hair and deep blue eyes. Despite many challenges that resulted from a genetic condition called Miller Dieker Syndrome, she lived up to her nameβs meaning: βone who is beyond measure.β Ameya was never able to speak, sit, or walk but she showed her love through a gentle presence, captivating smile, and squeals of delight. Ameya spent her days alongside her siblings with many snuggles and read-alouds. Some of her favourite things were kisses, baths, chaos, βhorsey ridingβ and being outside for walks or appointments. She was strong and brave, fighting until the end.
Ameya’s Funeral Service will be held at Plattsville Evangelical Missionary Church, 19 Albert St. E., Plattsville, ON, on Tuesday April 14th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Β A Private Family Interment will follow the service. Β Donations to McMaster Childrenβs Hospital, Ronald MacDonald House, or the Brantford General Hospital Pediatric Unit in Ameyaβs memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
