We sadly announce the passing of The Reverend Marlowe Anderson of Victoria, B.C., on November 8, 2025, at age 90. He is survived and deeply mourned by his beloved wife Margaret, sons Jeremy and Jared (YiLin), and granddaughter Dorothy. He rejoiced in his family and, though he loved the earth, he could not stay.
Dr. Anderson was a lifelong scholar whose wide-ranging interests extended well beyond his devoted service as a minister, chaplain, and counsellor. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched will remember his kindness, compassion, wisdom, and the care he offered to those in need.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated staff of the Fairfield Unit at Glengarry Hospital, and to Father O’Brian of Saint Barnabas Church. A funeral service will take place there on Friday, November 21, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Barnabas Church or Pacific Opera.
