Passed away peacefully at Innisfree House, Kitchener on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at age 93. Predeceased by his beloved wife Maria Dos Santos of 64 years. Loving father of Paula Capa (Americo) and Louis (Lucy). Dear grandfather of Jason (Rebecca), Jessica, Amanda, Michael and Megan (Juan). Great-grandfather of Hadley, Hayden, Amilia, Miguel and Anthony. Also survived by siblings, Maria Gloria Braga, and Emilia Braga (Jose). Predeceased by parents Antonio and Maria Jose (Moura) Costa, Siblings Maria Carvalho, Jose Costa, Maria Nascimento Sousa, Joao Costa, Manuel Costa, and Maria Rosa Collins. Antonio will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Antonio was born in Santa Maria, Azores on May 2, 1933. Antonio immigrated to Canada in 1965, he was employed by Tenneco Automotive for 35 years. Antonio loved spending his summers back home in Santa Maria where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to go fishing in the Maia. A special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, PSW’s and to Innisfree House Hospice. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, N., Cambridge on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 9 am – 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, 185 Elgin Street, S., Cambridge, Ontario. Interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Innisfree House Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
