It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Edna May Archibald (née Dart) at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry on August 18, 2026, a few weeks before her 99th birthday.

Loving wife of the late Harvey Archibald (2004). Cherished mother of Connie Pogue, Ron Archibald (Penny) and Don Archibald (Anne-Marie). Treasured grandmother of Jennifer Pogue (Michael Ashenhurst), Michael Pogue (Melanie Tavone), Ryan Archibald, Kyle Archibald, Kerry Archibald and Jessica Archibald. Adored Great-Grandma of William Ashenhurst and Alex Ashenhurst.

Pre-deceased by her parents, William Henry Dart and Florence Muriel Dart (née Jackson) and siblings and in-laws: Vera Dart, Muriel and Bud Leggett, Bill and Jean Dart, and Ray and Lynne Dart. Survived by sister Mary Vernon (late Roy) and sister-in-law, Winnifred Dart (late Bob). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours alike.

Edna will be laid to rest at the Uxbridge Cemetery during a private family ceremony. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oak Ridges Hospice or the Uxbridge Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Carlyle Jensen for her wonderful dedication to Mom over the years and to the superbly compassionate Oak Ridges Hospice staff, to the outstanding Uxbridge Hospital personnel and to the excellent paramedics for their care of Mom.
