ARCHIBALD, Katherine Marie Archibald

Passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound on Thursday, October 9th, 2025. Born in Milton, Nova Scotia on Thursday, March 27, 1941, Katherine Marie Archibald of Owen Sound was in her 85th year.

Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Alexander Archibald. Loving mother of Tina Gray (Peter) of Mildmay, Eleanor Legge (late Carleton) of Liverpool, Nova Scotia, and Colleen Smiley (Dan) of Port Medway, Nova Scotia. Cherished grandma of Michael, Grace (William), Cody, Russell, Ryan (Karen), and Taylor (Paul). Treasured great-grandma of Norah Jean Pritchard. Dear sister of Arlene Greenough and June Wambolt. Katherine will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Alvin Wambolt and Seattle Labrador, her son Brian Legge, and her siblings Lyndi, Virgil, Olie, Charlie, Ronald, Richard, Gene, Curry, Robert, and Gary.

A funeral service to celebrate Katherine’s life will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 3 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed at www.woodfuneralhome.ca. Interment will take place in Milton Cemetery at a later date.
