ARMSTRONG, Clyde Warren Armstrong

In memory of Clyde Warren Armstrong Feb. 26,1935 – March 3, 2026, born and spent most of his life in Toronto, retiring in Trenton, Ontario. Beloved Husband to the late Mary (MacIver) Armstrong for 66 years.

Much loved father of Daniel (Frances), Beverley Gordon (Steven) & David, We were blessed with an extraordinary father. He was a proud Canadian with a strong family presence in the Military. As the youngest of 8 brothers, he was lavished with love and attention by his entire family. He had a strong work ethic his journey included years of dedicated service with the TTC, followed by a successful time as a driver with Simpsons. In retirement he worked part-time with Durham School Board as a courier driver. His passion for marching bands led him to become a member of the Queens Own Rifles/band and later the Highland Creek Legion Pipe Band, Branch 258, which he eventually became President. His 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren adored him, and he delighted in sharing laughter and stories with them.

I’m certain Molson’s will deeply miss his loyal dedication, and I’m sure their shares will reflect his absence, but he gave it his all.

We will all miss our visits and phone calls, where he’d respond to inquiries about his well-being with unwavering optimism –

“Not bad for an old guy!”

A celebration of life will be held at the Brighton Legion later this spring.
