He was born November 19, 1964, in Maple Ridge and left this world September 4, 2025. David is predeceased by his mother Pamela Baanstra. He is survived by his father Jacobus (John) Baanstra. His brother, John Baanstra and his sister, Jean Elliott as well as his nephew, Christopher Elliott and nieces, Jet Elliott and Jennifer Elliott.
He died far too young. He cared deeply for his family and worked tirelessly to help them; He worked as a chartered accountant and gave a lot to his accounting community. He also volunteered with Knights of Columbus and the Saint Vincent de Paul.
He leaves behind a huge hole in the hearts of those who loved him.
