Passed away peacefully on Monday May 11, 2026 in Vineland, aged 87 years. Predeceased by her husband George and parents Gordon & Minnie Honsberger (nee Rittenhouse) and stepmom Norma Honsberger (nee Cunningham).
Sylvia Jane Bahro is survived by sons Scott (Dawn) Bahro of Jordan Station and Neal (Kristie) Bahro and 4 grandchildren of Athens, Alabama. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Sylvia was born and raised on the family fruit farm in Jordan Station. After graduating from Beamsville Highschool, she worked for Bell Canada as a switchboard operator. In 1965, she returned to the farm with George to help with farming operations.
Sylvia was a long time member of Jordan Station United Church and also a member of the Historical Automobile Society of Canada.
The family would like to thank the United Mennonite Home staff for the care and compassion she received.
The family will receive friends at Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., Vineland on Wednesday May 13, 2026 from 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday May 14 at 11am followed by burial at St. John’s Cemetery.
