It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Barbara Dirks passed on September 19, 2026, at the age of 86.
Always introduced as Goddess by her Dale, her husband of almost 65 years, Barbara was a quiet and beautiful soul who loved her family. Born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, into a family of 10, her childhood influenced her strong sense of compassion for others. The opportunity to travel cultivated her existing openness to expanded perspectives and a lifelong love of learning.
On a side note – there wasn’t a shoe she didn’t like (if you know, you know).
To know Barbara was to love her, and she will be missed so much. Until we meet again.
Barbara leaves behind her children Donna (Stuart) and Tammy (Guy); grandchildren Sari, Avram, Aliya (Nick), and Milah (Addison); siblings Donald (Irene), Rose Mary (Fred), and Pat (Dave); “adopted” children Julia & Paul; and many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Pearl & Elmer Kinnee; brother Raymond; and sisters Ramona, Estella, and Elaine.
