BARNES – Charles “Charlie” James passed away peacefully with family at his side at the Norfolk General Hospital on Monday, August 18, 2025 at the age of 75.
Loving father of Tiffany Plunkett (Jeff) and Jennifer Bradley (Quentine); grandfather of Raelynn, Cora, Stevie, Nixen, Jaxen and Harper.
Charlie will be missed by siblings Linda Porrit (Stan), Dennis Barnes (Diane), David Barnes (Marilyn), Christine Matson (Larry), Cathy Milos (Alvin) and Randy Barnes (late Jody); and by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Charlie was retired as a millwright from Stelco Steel. He was a huge sports guy and loved music. He loved the Toronto Blue Jays. He always had a smile on his face and was proud of his family.
Visitation will be held at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, PO Box 70, Waterford, ON (519-443-5332) on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
