It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of André Beaucage on Saturday August 8th, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital (WRHN) at the age of 76 years.

Born and raised in Montréal, Québec, André enjoyed spending time with his siblings, cousins and grandparents growing up. After spending some time in the Army, he moved to BC for his next adventure with his brother Gilles, and shortly after made his way to Kitchener, Ontario. Throughout his early life, he enjoyed playing the drums, music, nature and swimming among multiple other sports. He shared many loving memories with his first wife, Sharon (mother of Jon), especially taking Jon along the Grand River trails. He also shared many loving memories in his second marriage to Lee (mother of Kim and Lissa), especially in nature and sports with all the kids. André trained at George Brown College in Toronto and spent nearly 40 years of his life as a mechanical technician at Canada Post. Shortly after his retirement, he succumbed to a stroke affecting his mobility, which ultimately resulted in his need for nursing care. In his later years, André enjoyed time outdoors, chess, reading books, time with friends at the nursing care facility, and a good meal with family (especially steak, lobster and a Coke). Special thanks go out to Winston Park for caring for André for so many years, and St. Mary’s Hospital (WRHN ICU and CCU especially) for all your kindness and care over the years.

André was a loving father of Jonathan Beaucage (Mar), Kim Beaucage (Oies) and Lissa Beaucage.

He was a cherished grandfather of Jaden, Avery, Zakariya and Zavian.

Predeceased by his parents Elzear and Dora Beaucage and by his brother Gilles Beaudry, sister Rejeanne (Rita) Beaucage, and former wife and mother of his children Kim and Lissa, Lee Yang.

Cremation has taken place. A private gathering for family will be held; there will not be a public gathering.
