BEAUDIN, Shirley Anne Beaudin
September 24, 1949 - July 28, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Beaudin. She leaves to grieve her husband Mike, and her children Monique, Adrian, Andrew, Christina and Matthew.
She was predeceased by her daughter Melanie in 2024. Shirley was born in Dingwall, Scotland in 1949, and immigrated to Canada in 1962 with her
parents to settle in Traytown, Newfoundland. She attended Memorial University and taught primary school. In 1968, she met her future husband. They married that year and she was with him on his many postings with his work. They finally settled in Martintown in 1981.
Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who worked very hard to provide a warm and loving home. Shirley was a stay-at-home mom who always had cookies or treats for the children when they returned from school, and spent many hours helping them with homework assignments. She was a very good role model.
Being an avid knitter, she passed on her skills to her daughters, and later in life knitted socks for homeless people in Montreal. She was also involved in the community, volunteering with the Williamstown Fair Board for many years. Following Mike’s retirement, they did many summer camping trips to Algonquin Park. As well, Shirley joined Mike on his post-retirement assignments to China, Africa and the United States. Shirley lived life to the fullest and will be sadly missed. As per Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home and the family would welcome friends and loved ones to celebrate Shirley with them Friday August 7th from 2-4pm at the Funeral Home 822 Pitt St. Cornwall, with family tributes to
take place at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to Glen Stor Dun Lodge in
Shirley’s memory. Online condolences may be left at www.wilsonfuneralhome.ca
