He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carole; his children, Wayne (Samantha) and Wendy Hawthorne; his grandchildren, Zechariah, Hannah, Veronica and Greggory; his siblings, Gary and Gloria (late Brian Shaw); and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Brown and Gail Cheesman.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 4th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel (7313 ON-26, Stayner, ON L0M1S0). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
