Deloros Ilene Benn

March 25, 1942 – August 19, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Deloros Ilene Benn (nee Wolfe) announce her passing at the Brantford General Hospital on August 19, 2025 at the age of 83.

She was born second of four children, to the late Charles Alexander Wolfe and Eva Irene Wilcox-Winger Wolfe Scholdice on March 25, 1942 in Cheapside ON. She married the late James Benn in August 1963, and they lived together in the Hamilton/Brantford area for twenty four years before relocating to the Timiskaming District, then once again returning to Brantford. Deloros is survived by three of her four children: Catherine (George) McDonald, of Melancthon; Christine Benn of Cobalt; and David (Kelly) Benn of Brantford. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, 4 nephews and 2 nieces. Deloros was predeceased by her loving husband in April of this year; her son Andrew in 1993; her father in 1975; her mother in 2000; her step-father Frank in 1994; her older sister Rena in 1985; her younger sister Sharon in 2009, her baby brother Cleveland in 1996 and her nephew James in 2014.

Deloros enjoyed many things from singing, cooking, sewing, knitting and working on the family tree. She was an upstanding member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she had served in the Genealogy Library. She passed her passion for genealogy work on to her one daughter and one grandson. Deloros was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
