BENNETT, Joan Margaret Bennett

After a long period of ill health, Joan Margaret Bennett passed away peacefully at Watford Quality Care Centre on Thursday, 9th July 2026, aged 77. Joan was a special and much-loved daughter of George Bennett (1972) and Rose Bennett (nee: Stortz) (1991). Predeceased by her siblings Kay Wardell (2018) (Roy, deceased), Bill Bennett (2010), and Susan Patterson (2003) (Rob, deceased). Survived by brothers Bob Bennett (Maxine, deceased), Frank Bennett (Marcia), and Ted Bennett, and sisters Patricia Bennett, Mary Popiel (Lonny), and sister-in-law Beth Bennett. Survived also by many nieces and nephews. Joan faced many challenges during her lifetime and will be remembered warmly by all who knew her for her work ethic, love of family, generosity of spirit, and a mischievous sense of humour. We will miss her, but we are grateful she is now at peace. In accordance with Joan’s wishes, there will be no funeral. A private internment will take place at All Saints Roman Catholic Cemetery in Strathroy.
