BENNIES, Gisela Bennies

Passed away peacefully at Southbridge Care Home on Monday, September 22, 2025. Born in Berlin, Germany on February 19, 1932, the oldest of five children, Gisela Bennies (nee Kudling) of Owen Sound was 93 years old.
Beloved and devoted wife for 67 years of the late Dieter Bennies. Loving mother of Vera Bennies of Owen Sound. Cherished grandma of Christopher and proud great grandma of Kyliee. Gisela will also be missed by her daughter-in-law Debbie Bennies and by her caring friends Debbie McCormack and Ron Elo.
Predeceased by her son Peter Bennies and by her four siblings.
Vera would like to send a special heartfelt thanks to all of Gisela’s caregivers at Southbridge who made her final years comfortable, and for the wonderful farewell as she left the home for the last time.
A funeral service to celebrate Gisela’s life will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
