He was at age 62 succumbed to his illnesses. He is survived by his parents Greig and Joan Black, his children Meagan (Liam), Connor, his step daughter Brittany (Laurence), their mother Shelley Nicholson, his grandchildren Cypress, Ever, Locksley, Marty, his brothers Rick (Sue), Scott, Anthony (Karen) and his uncles. aunts. nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Andrew Allan Black was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and a loyal friend to so many. He built a respected career as a lawyer, operating his own practice for many years, and was admired for both his professionalism and his generosity.

Outside of work, Andrew embraced life with enthusiasm. He was an accomplished hockey goalie, a fiercely loyal Boston Bruins fan, and loved spending every opportunity he could on the golf course. He was also a passionate outdoorsman and avid canoeist, creating countless memories trekking through Algonquin with family and friends over many years.

While our hearts are heavy, we are deeply grateful for the love, laughter, and memories Andrew leaves behind. His kindness, sense of adventure, and unwavering spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In keeping with Andrew’s wishes, he has been cremated, and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of your choice which would have meaning to him.

Rest peacefully, Andrew. You are deeply missed and will be forever remembered.
