BOLLEN, Dianne Bollen

It is with immense love that we announce the sudden loss of Dianne Bollen, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 81.

Dianne leaves behind a wealth of love, including her children Sandi (Rob) and Pamela (Richard; grandchildren Greg (Krista), Jeff (Madi), Chelsea, and Tiffany; and great-grandchildren Carmen, Kaylee, Blake, Daxton, Aliyah, and Brynleigh).

She now goes to join her husband Reginald Bollen and mother Sophie Makahnuik, who passed before her.

Dianne had a way of lighting up a room without even trying. Her humour was sharp and clever, often laced with just the right amount of sarcasm, and she never danced around what she wanted to say—she was direct, funny, and refreshingly honest. She was outgoing in that easy, natural way that made people feel instantly comfortable around her. As a grandma, she was simply cool. She’d sit with her police scanner buzzing in the background, happily relaying the latest neighbourhood drama to the family like it was her own personal news channel.

She loved her flowers and her garden, loved settling in with a good crossword, and looked forward to her 8 p.m. Timmies coffee every single night. And everyone knew she was a true night owl—you could call her at midnight or one in the morning, and she’d be wide awake in the kitchen making bacon and eggs like it was breakfast time. More than anything, Dianne loved her family. She had a special, one-of-a-kind relationship with each of them, and they always knew how much they meant to her. Life will feel quieter without her, and we will miss her beyond words.

Family and friends will each honour Dianne in their own ways. No formal service will be held.
