Mary “May” Victor

December 9, 1933 – February 13, 2026

Smiling elderly woman with glasses and curly hair.

It is with immense love and sadness that we announce the loss of our mother, Mary Victor, on February 13, 2026.

Mary, also known as May, was born on December 9, 1933, in Liverpool, UK, and grew up in Manchester until she moved to Canada in 1965, with her husband, Lou, and four children. Once they settled, they had their fifth child. After living in the Lower Mainland where she was a nurse at Surrey Memorial for many years, the family moved to 100 Mile House. There, she continued to nurse for a few more years until her retirement to fostering for over 25 years. Mary and Lou then retired in Kelowna, over 30 years ago, where she spent years volunteering at the Cancer Lodge.

Mary is lovingly remembered by her children Les (Eldene), Julie, Lorraine, and Beverly; sister Doris; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Louis of 69 years; son Trevor; son-in-law Al; sister Pat; and brothers Michael and John.

Mary enjoyed spending her early years at Crystal Waters Resort, bowling or playing darts. In her later years, she took up cruising, golfing, and always looked forward to family barbecues, playing card games, and enjoying a nice glass of wine or a rye and soda.

She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details to be announced.
