Caroline Jean Dackewich Obituary
Caroline Jean Dackewich passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 62, after living with several forms of cancer. She was born on November 30, 1963.
Caroline will be remembered for her unmistakable laugh, candid humour, colourful personality and refusal to give up. Her nieces and nephews knew her affectionately as “Auntie Strange,” while many others were warmly called “Babe.” She was a devoted mother, loyal friend and beloved aunt who stood firmly beside the people she cared about.
After beginning her working life as a commercial artist, Caroline found a lasting passion for construction and building. She enjoyed creating things, working with her hands and seeing the results of a day’s effort. Her final role in the industry was in safety.
Caroline was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Dackewich. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Teryn, Shae-Lynn and Shelby; twin sister Connie (Mel); brother Garnet; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends; and her grand-dog Marvin.
At Caroline’s request, no service will be held. Those wishing to honour her memory are encouraged to spend time doing something they love.
