BONDY, Elizabeth “Paddy” Bondy

At the age of 85, in the Villages at St. Clair, Windsor, ON. Paddy was eldest daughter of Harry (1975) and Norah (2010) Bondy of LaSalle, ON. She will be missed by her siblings, Fred (2012) (Dona 2010) of Sudbury, Pauline Smith (Don 1996) of LaSalle, Maggie (2025) (Kay Rose) of Truro, NS, Marie Lennox (Don 2017) of Windsor, Joe (Doreen) of Whitby, Fran (Patricio Barrera 2001) of Garson, and Gina Paradis (Andre) of Chatham. Beloved aunt and great aunt.

Paddy was born and raised in LaSalle where she began her teaching career at Sister Anthony of the Cross, before moving to the Greater Sudbury region as a teacher librarian in many elementary schools. Throughout the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s she was very active in Girl Guides, Youth Encounter and Cursillo.  In 2000 she received a Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award for her work in establishing the Garson Community Food Bank as well as her involvement in many community initiatives.  She returned to the Windsor area in 2022 where she quickly settled into her new home in Kingsville, at the Village at St. Clair, where she loved visiting and sharing stories with the staff and residents.  Special thanks to those that made our big sister comfortable and welcome in her new home. Please make donations to a charity of your choice and pay it forward in memory of Paddy. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm, with prayers at 7pm, on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at Families First LaSalle (2130 Front Rd, Windsor, ON N9J 2B9).
