Frederick Fritz

After a long illness, Frederick “Fred” Anthony Fritz passed away into the arms of Jesus on February 28, 2026, at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton. Fred was born into a large family of seventeen, of whom nine have gone to their eternal home. May they rest in Peace.

Fred is survived by three children, Jennifer Conway, Melissa Conway, and Justin Fritz, sister Helen (Donald) Waechter, brothers William (Eileen) Fritz, Thomas (Anne) Fritz, Patrick (Helen) Fritz, David (Walli) Fritz, John (Mary) Fritz, sisters-in-law Angela Lacey, Patricia Fritz, Betty Fritz, and brothers-in-law John Powers and Mack Frizzell.

Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Ambrose Fritz, sisters Agnes (Len) Waechter, Mary (Walter) Bruder, Doris Powers, Margaret and Thecla (twins who passed shortly after birth), brothers Bernard, Joseph (Joan Frizzell), Jerome, Carl (Margaret) Fritz, and Robert Fritz.

Fred was a welder by trade and a terrific softball player for Orangeville and Barrie.

A special thank you to the staff of 3 South at Brucelea Haven for their excellent care, and Sacred Heart Parish, Walkerton, for providing Communion to Fred during his time at Brucelea Haven.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Mary Immaculate Church, Chepstow. Reception to follow at the Chepstow Lion’s Park.

Interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow.
