Died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday November 6, 2025 at Campbell House, Collingwood at the age of 91. Carlo of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Ruth for over 61 years. Loving father of Christina (Vince Di Campli) and cherished grandfather of Matthew (Jamie) and Alexandra. He will also be missed by his sister-in-law Theresia (Gunter Gugelmeier), his nephews Thomas and Steven and their families, his remaining relatives in Italy and his neighbours and friends. Carlo was a meticulous man. He was a skilled craftsman, building replica ships, crafting family keepsakes in his woodshop and maintaining a large vegetable garden. Carlo was also artistic and creative. He enjoyed watching old classic movies and funny shows that made him laugh. He was handy man around the house and was great at fixing and building things. He enjoyed the summers relaxing on his deck in the backyard. He had a love for the sea. He enjoyed fishing and sailing and his home in Wasaga Beach for the past 26 years afforded him opportunity to continue to enjoy the water. Friends are invited to join his family at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Friday November 21, 2025 from 1 pm for the Memorial Service in the chapel at 2 o’clock. Reception to follow. If desired, a donation to Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation for Campbell House or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by his family.
