Passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Danny Boyd was the loving husband and best friend of the late Shirley Boyd (2024). He will be missed dearly by his children David and Stephanie (Ken Broad). Dan was a proud Grandpa to Amy, Faith, and the late Ethan (2022). The son of the late Evelyn and Lawrence Swartz and a brother to Brenda (Ed) Mardlin and the late Linda Swartz (Lyle Anderson). Danny was a son-in-law to the late Gordon “Owen” and Elsie Salisbury and was a brother-in-law to Jeannie (the late Dennis) Marshall, Robert (the late Lynn) Salisbury, Len (Barb) Salisbury, and Terry (Jane) Salisbury and was predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-laws Janet Cronk (Tom Perkins), William (Pat Horton), Donna (the late Ted) Jackson, Peter (Carol), David, Ron, and Tom. Dan was predeceased by a special aunt Shirley Weinman and will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will also be remembered by his buddies Dave Vlcek and Armand Van Klaveren as well as his second daughters Tanya Grant and Meena Cullis. Dan was blessed to have his best friend Gary Fournie who was always there to help him and his family in any way that he could. Danny worked for several years at Jaques Farm Drainage until his health began declining. He had a love for animals, classic cars, fishing, and watching the Toronto Bluejays. Most of all, Dan’s happiness came from spending time with Shirley, his children and grandchildren. The family takes comfort in knowing that Mom and Ethan will be waiting to welcome Dad into heaven. A special thank you to Dr. Daniel and the nurses and PSWs from CarePartners, VON, and Bayshore for their exceptional and compassionate care. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Sarnia and District Humane Society.
