It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edwin Arthur “Edd” Boyd, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the age of 83.
Beloved husband of the late Lynda Boyd (nee Ridgway). Loving father of Glen Boyd, Christine (Stu) Sylver, and Jennifer (Troy) Thibeault. Cherished grandfather of Zack (Jaime), Nick, Meg, Ben, and Evan. Dear brother of Hugh (Sue) Boyd and uncle to Yvonne, Niki, Andrea, Mike, Mark, and Ryan.
Edd was a retired construction surveyor and an avid skier. He also enjoyed golf, reading, and solving daily crossword puzzles. His love for gardening and spending time with family brought him great joy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family extends special thanks to the staff at Brantford General Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener, and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton for their compassionate care.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McCleister Funeral Home in Brantford.
