August 29, 1949 – September 7, 2026

Passed away peacefully at the Port Perry Hospital on Monday, September 7, 2026 at the age of 77 years, surrounded by his family at his side.  He is loved and will be immensely missed by his wife Susan (nee Nick) and children Terry Nick (Randi), Jason (Veronica) and Tim (Kay) Donohue. Brian is remembered by his 8 Grandsons, 2 Granddaughters and his nieces and nephews. He will now be reunited with his Mom, Dad and Sister.

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, on August 29, 1949, Brian grew up knowing the importance of family from an early age. After losing his father, Philip, when he was young, he was raised by his mother, Janet, alongside his sister, Linda. The love and strength of his family stayed with him throughout his life and became something he carried forward into the family of his own.

Brian Peter Donohue moved with Susan and Terry to Uxbridge, Ontario, in 1980, and later married in 1983.  Brian was a family man and he always put his wife, Susan, and his children first, and his family was at the heart of everything he did. For more than 30 years, he dedicated himself to helping others as a paramedic, primarily serving the communities of Stouffville, Uxbridge, and Port Perry. He was well loved and respected in each of these communities, and over the years he made countless connections and collected even more stories.

Brian had a way of making people laugh, and he always seemed to have a story or a joke ready to share. He loved being there for his children and grandchildren, especially cheering them on from the sidelines at their sports. He tried his best never to miss a game, and those moments of watching his family grow were some of the things he cherished most.

Brian truly was one of a kind. He gave so much of himself to his family, his community, and the people he helped throughout his career. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the stories he told, the laughter he shared, and, most importantly, through the family he loved so much.

A celebration of life in honour of Brian will take place at a later date. As expression of sympathy, donations can be made in Brian’s name to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.  Family and friends are also invited to send condolences, share memories or make donations at www.lowandlow.ca
