BRIENESSE, Gysbert “Gus” Brienesse

Passed away peacefully at Matthews House Hospice on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the age of 87.

Son of the late Gijsberta and Johannes Brienesse. Loved father of Terry Brienesse (Ted) and Gusbert Brienesse (Joanne). Cherished grandpa of Andy Brienesse (Jessie), Ally Weese (Matthew), Donald Cairns (Tracy), Matthew Law, predeceased by Shane Brienesse, Ryan Stevens and Tyler Stevens. Cherished great grandpa of Greyson Cairns, Kaitlyn Smith, Rubi Weese, Theo Weese, Haven Stevens and Kade Stevens. Dear brother of Jack, predeceased by Beb, John, Hank, Trudy, Gerrit, Wim and Yokie. Gus will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 516, 5357 County Road 9, New Lowell on Sunday, September 13th from 1-4 p.m.
