Dorothy Bull

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Dorothy Bull of Port Perry, Ontario, on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the age of 77 at St Michael’s Hospital, Toronto.

She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved partner Tore Bjerkek, her children Michael Bull (Debbie), Kevin Bull (Melaura), and Christine Boucher (Marc), who were the centre of her life. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Emilie Boucher, Cali Boucher, Sam Bull, RJ Boucher, Juliet Bierkek, and Malcolm Bierkek, each of whom brought her immense joy. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Robert Bull and her parents Fred and Marjory Maycock.

Dorothy is also survived by her brother Fred Maycock (Liz), her brother-in-law Donald Bull, and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss her warmth and generosity.

Born in Accrington, England, Dorothy built a life defined by determination, compassion, and community. As the original owner of Tim Hortons locations in Oshawa and Port Perry, she was known for her strong work ethic, leadership, and genuine care for the people around her. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dorothy gave generously of her time as a board member of the Canterbury Commons Community Association.

Dorothy had a lifelong love of people, travel, and finding peace and happiness in nature. She will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.

A memorial service will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry, on February 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., followed by refreshments and fellowship at the same location. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Feed Ontario, Doctors Without Borders, or Oak Ridges Hospice of Durham.
