With deep sadness and abiding hope, we share that Judy Buma passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2025, at the age of 91. Judy has been called home to her Heavenly Father, in whom she placed her unwavering faith all her life.

Beloved wife of the late Peter Buma for 33 cherished years.

Devoted mother to Renita, Elsa (John) Semplonius, Simon (Lise), and Brian (Mary Lynn).

Treasured Grandma to Andrew (Zakiya), Alisha (Brandon), Cameron (Sara), Ryan (Ashley), Lisa (Bill), James (Thalia), David (Julie), Kevin (Kristi), Julie (Mike), Joel (Julia), Peter (Marie), Brandon (Victoria), Shawn (Sarah), Jason (Victoria), Emma, Aly (Ryan), Amelie (David), Paige.

Proud Great-Grandma to Adrian, Amber, Ezra, Luke, Madeline, Thomas, Ivan, Amaya, Oliver, Zander, Sylar, Owen, and Colson.

Judy was a loving sister to Simon and Rennie, and dear sister-in-law to Trix Bouwma and John and Eppie Thies. Predeceased by her parents, Lucas and Reinoutje Janssen, and her siblings Harm, Janny, Harry, Jaap, and Luke.

Judy leaves behind a legacy of deep faith and steadfast love for her family, by whom she will be dearly remembered.

Funeral Service will be held at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church 2805 Highway 2 East, Bowmanville, ON L1C 6E9 on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 1 p.m.
