BURDEN, Arthur Winston Burden

A beloved son, brother, uncle, family member, and friend, Arthur Winston Burden  passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026. He was 81 years old.

Born in Liverpool, Nova Scotia on February 1, 1945, Winston moved to Ontario in 1965, making Beamsville his permanent and cherished home. He was the owner of Always Convenience in Vineland for over 10 years. His passing leaves behind a profound absence, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by, and will be deeply missed by his loving family in Ontario: sister Jewell (David) Killam, and nieces Julie (Tom) Fusco and Marcia Killam. He will also be missed by his beloved family back home in Nova Scotia, nieces Edna Mae (Randy), Joy (Matthew), and Bonnie (Chris), and his nephew Dwight (Kim). Winston is also survived by 12 great-nieces and nephews, 12 great-great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great-great-nephew.

Winston is reunited in peace with his mother Helen (d. 1994), his father Arthur (d. 1998), soulmate Irene (d. 2000), sister Madelyn (d. 2001), and nephew Glendon (d. 2006).

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dan, Len, and Judy for their unconditional love and friendship over the years—Winston loved you all very much.

Special thanks to the wonderful, caring nurses on 5B at St. Catharines General, especially Patricia, Amy, and Mark, for their profound compassion and excellent communication through Winston’s final days. Your kindness is appreciated more than words can express.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 21st, 2026 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes (3277 King St., Vineland.) Winston’s wishes there will be a private family graveside service at Mount Osborne Cemetery in Beamsville.
