He of Lambeth passed away peacefully while surrounded by his sons on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the age of 85. Proud father of Rob Burston (Celeste) of Penetanguishene and Glen Burston (Pam) of Byron. Loved grandfather of Rudy, Patrick, Cameron and brother of Pat Brillinger (late Garth).
Ken Burston would winter in Lakeland Florida and is remembered by his special friend Mary Ford, he made friends with many during his golf outings, his hockey years in Lambeth, his love of fishing and his friendships with those at Pine Lake Park in Bayfield in his most recent years. His family have fond memories of “Captain Ken” on his Tugboat excursions, always an adventure and a story to be told. They would like to thank his friends and care team that enabled him to stay at home where he wanted to be until the end.
Ken was born in Woodstock, the son of the late Arthur and Edna Burston, he had a rewarding career with Bell Canada prior to his retirement. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held in Bayfield and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre through London Health Sciences
