It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of John Spencer Cairns on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at CKHA – Wallaceburg Site, at the age of 74 years. He was born in Toronto, a son of the late Harry and Edna (Spence) Cairns.
Beloved husband and soul mate of Leslie (Scott) Cairns. Loving father of Fraser (Erin) Cairns and stepfather to Melissa Chadwick (Tracy Honsinger) and Mike Chadwick (Kitty). Beloved Papa of Spencer, Tommy, Shirlee, Brigid and Hall.
Kind brother to Debbie (Bob) Porter and Stephanie (Mike) Oliver and uncle to nieces Aime, Carly, Michelle and Jennifer. He will also be sadly missed by many friends from the CBD Club and co-workers from Walmart in Wallaceburg.
The late John Cairns is remaining at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home (639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg). In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 1:00–3:00 pm at the CBD Club (1342 Dufferin Ave., Wallaceburg).
