
Carol Charlebois (nee Joannette) passed away peacefully in her 78th year after a brief battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Marcel Charlebois (Deceased June 18, 2018) for over 50 years and a courageous mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Carol was a hardworking woman who spent the bulk of her career as a PSW looking after the needs of others.
Carol is survived by her daughter Lisa Wihlidal; granddaughter Samantha Meisner (Wihlidal) and husband David Meisner, great grandchildren Aiden Meisner and Savannah Meisner and Grandson Jacob Wihlidal,
Special thanks to all those who cared for her in her final years; The wonderful staff at the Gardens of Haliburton, the amazing PSW’s from Care at Home, Dr. Nell Thomas, all the emergency nurses at Haliburton hospital, the incredible doctors at the Gaines Clinic in Minden, the lovely friends she made in the last few years of her life especially Debbie, Donna and Max, and the compassionate staff and volunteers at Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all her family and friends.
May she now rest peacefully alongside the love of her life Marcel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Oak Ridges Hospice.
A celebration of her life will be on September 14 from 12 noon – 3:00 pm at Armstrong Funeral Home located at 124 King Street E. Oshawa, Ontario
