On Thursday May 1, 2025, Dorothy Marion Carr passed away peacefully with family by her side at Port Hope Extendicare in her 95th year.
She was predeceased by her husband George, son Reg (Cathy) and grandson Cary. Loving mother of Nellie (The late Calvin), Judy (Kevin), Jo-Anne (Pug), Ellen (Tom), Wendy (Joe) and Steven (Rhonda). A doting grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her sister Nellie. Predeceased by her father Clarence Cline, mother Eva Burkholder, sisters Grace, Helena, Montelene, Violet and brother Ed, all from Cochrane, Ontario. She had a very special relationship with her many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the Extendicare Port Hope staff for their care and compassion towards Dorothy during her stay.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 7th, 2025 from 10:00am until time of service at 11:30am at the Maple Grove United Church located at 2197 Maple Grove Road in Bowmanville. Burial will take place following the service at the Bowmanville Cemetery.
