CHAPMAN , Clara Rose Chapman

Clara Rose Chapman passed away peacefully on Sunday August 17th, 2025 at Lakeridge Health hospital in Bowmanville Ontario lovingly surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of 52 years to Allan. Dear mother of Wendy (Jason), Holly (Jason), and Sheila. Loving Grandmother to Isaac, Mackinley, Mitchell, Trinity and Mirah. Treasured sister of Clayton Pearce and Kathy Gaboury, late sisters Alice Corbeil, Irene Cloutier, Hazel Pearce-Chaput and late brother Billy Pearce. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Kathleen Pearce. Treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Clara was a proud and loving wife, mother and grandmother. In her earlier days, she enjoyed long distance running, competitive swimming and hiking with her work friends. She was an avid reader and loved to shop any chance she got. She enjoyed having conversations about her days growing up in Gowganda and often shared cherished memories of her mother and grandparents. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren and all their accomplishments.

At Clara’s request, a cremation has taken place. A service will be held at a later date and her final resting place will be in Haileybury Ontario.

Clara will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
