It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Robert Charbonneau, on May 8, 2026, at the age of 64 years and very near of his 65th birthday. Originally from Hammond, he was the eldest son of Suzanne (Gendron) and the late Gilbert Charbonneau. He is survived by his brother and “partner-in-crime” Roch (Johanne Diotte), his sister Manon (Benoit Gadouas) as well as his nephews Jean (Stevyan Larocque) and nieces Valérie (Josh Deschambault), Fannie, and Laurence Gadouas. Robert was the beloved great-uncle of Lexyan, Donovan, and Willian Charbonneau and of Zackary, Sébastien, and Samuel Deschambault. He is also mourned by his aunts, uncles, cousins from the Charbonneau and Gendron families, his two goddaughters, Isabelle and Fannie, and his cherished companions in golf, fishing, and work: Jean-François, Pierre, Stéphane, and Sylvio. All who knew him appreciated his generosity, sense of humor, availability, and numerous talents. He now joins those who loved him, his father, his grandparents, his relatives. If you wish, you can make a donation to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in memory of Robert and the unconditional love he had for children, or simply perform a kind act for a loved one, as he naturally did.

The funeral will take place in the privacy of the family.
