Chiara Corrado

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Chiara Corrado (nee Sestito), on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital in Vaughan, Ontario, at the age of 93.  She is now reunited with her beloved husband Francesco Corrado.

Chiara Corrado was a devoted mother whose love, strength, and kindness touched the lives of everyone around her. Her family was the centre of her life, and she gave generously of herself, offering constant love, comfort, and support. She took great pride in caring for those she loved and found joy in the simple, meaningful routines of family life.

Chiara also had a deep love of gardening. Each year, she lovingly tended her extensive vegetable garden, taking great pleasure in watching it grow and sharing its harvest with family and friends. Gardening brought her happiness, purpose, and a quiet sense of fulfillment.

Loving mother and mother-in-law to Dominic Corrado (Diane), Joe Corrado (Sherry), and Vito Corrado (Maria). Cherished Nonna to 6 grandchildren, Michelle (Charles), Michael (Elisa), David (Andrea), and Anthony (Kristina), Francesco and Nadia; and her seven great-grandchildren. Matteo, Isabella, Joshua, Victoria, Amelia, Fiona and Adeya.  She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Sister to Antonetta (deceased), Maria Grazia, Antonio, and Caterina all of whom live in Italy.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and no longer suffering. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the family she cherished, the lessons she shared, and the love she gave so freely.
